 ATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and group 
 safety\, if you arrive without water\, you will not be allowed to walk. Dr
 ess for the weather and protect yourself from the elements.  Choose appro
 priate footwear for trail conditions.  Use repellent to protect yourself 
 from ticks\, which are active year-round.  Wear blaze orange during hunti
 ng season (except for Sundays).\n\nMeet at 9:45 a.m. for sign-in and stret
 ching to begin walking promptly at 10:00 p.m. Hosted by Barbie Liftman wit
 h Sweep TBD.\n—Prerequisite: Instructional Clinic\, prior CCNW walk of 5
 + miles and ability to walk at a moderate\, sustained pace with few breaks
 .\n—Distance: 7.2miles. No turn-back or shorter option.\n—Pace: Modera
 te pace with few breaks.\n—Terrain: All wooded trails\, lots of roots an
 d rocks.  Modest elevation gains.  Carbide tips only.  Sturdy hiking sh
 oes or boots recommended.  This 7.2 mile walk around five ponds is entire
 ly wooded and affords spectacular pond views and photo ops.\n\n—Limit 1 
 walk per day.\n—Wear your CCNW ID badge.\n—Restrooms and water not ava
 ilable. Bring tissue in a plastic bag in case of a bio break need.\n—If 
 your plans change\, kindly cancel your booking at least 24 hours in advanc
 e of walk start time so other walkers may join.\n\nMass DCR parking pass o
 r paid parking not required.\n\nWalk may be canceled\, changed\, or resche
 duled for weather or other reasons. Cancellation decision will be made at 
 least 2 hours in advance. Check your email (including spam) before driving
  to the walk.  If a walk is canceled\, registrants will receive a system-
 generated email\, and the walk will no longer be visible in the event list
 ing or on the calendar.\n\nDirections: Enter Nickerson State Park at main 
 gate.   Take the FIRST major left towards Flax Pond.  Do not park at Fl
 ax Pond but follow road to the end and park at the Cliff Ponds lot.
