We will enter Nauset Light & climb the stairs for a view before we walk the grounds around the light and the nearby Three Sisters. Enjoy the high elevation viewpoint over the Atlantic before walking down to Nauset Light Beach. All levels are welcome if the distance, pace, and terrain suit you.

Meet at 4:15 pm to check in and stretch. We’ll walk to the light promptly at 4:25. Hosted by Ellie Devlin with Sweep TBD.

Prerequisite: Instructional Clinic and ability to walk 2.0 miles at a steady pace. 

Distance: 3 miles. Half hour walk on the beach will be at your own pace.   

Pace: Moderate and steady, with views and rest stops.

Terrain: Pavement and gravel road. Rubber tips necessary. Sandy trail to the beach, low-tide packed sand on the beach.

For Your Safety: Consider the weather forecast when booking a walk. WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and group safety, if you arrive without water, you will not be allowed to walk. Dress for the weather and protect yourself from the elements. Choose appropriate footwear for trail conditions. Use repellent to protect yourself from ticks, which are active year-round. Wear blaze orange for visibility and safety during hunting season.

• Limit 1 walk per day.
• Wear your CCNW ID badge.
• Rubber tips necessary.
• Restrooms and water available. Bring tissue in a plastic bag in case of a bio break need.
• If your plans change, kindly cancel your booking at least 24 hours in advance of walk start time so other walkers may join.

Walk may be canceled, changed, or rescheduled for weather or other reasons. Cancellation decision will be made at least 2 hours in advance. ** Check your email (including spam) AND this walk listing before driving to the walk. ** If a walk is canceled, registrants will receive a system-generated email, and the walk will no longer be visible in the event listing or on the calendar.

This walk is authorized under a National Park Service Special Use Permit. Parking permits not yet required midweek.

Directions: Meet at Nauset Light Beach Parking lot at the intersection of Cable Road and Ocean View Drive, Eastham (780 Ocean View Drive, Eastham, NOT Wellfleet). Meet in the lot, diagonally opposite from the bathhouse. Note: This is Nauset LIGHT Beach, Eastham, NOT Nauset Beach, Orleans.
