Enjoy golden hour lighting at one of the Outer Cape’s most iconic spots! Our 1.8-mile route starts with a meander through the Red Maple Swamp, then circles the Fort Hill fields, with panoramic views of Nauset Estuary and the Outer Beach. Open to all levels if the distance, terrain, low light, and slow-to-moderate pace suit you.
Meet at 6:15 pm to sign in and stretch. We’ll begin walking promptly at 6:30. Hosted by Sue Moynihan with Sweep TBD. Read to the bottom for directions to our meeting point.
Prerequisite: Instructional clinic and comfortable walking in low light
Distance: 1.8 miles. No shorter or turn-back option.
Pace: Slow to moderate, with stops to enjoy the view
Terrain: Hard-pack, boardwalk, and short pavement segment. Low light/near darkness at walk’s end. Bring a headlamp or flashlight. Rubber tips required.
For Your Safety: Consider the weather forecast when booking a walk. WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and group safety, if you arrive without water, you will not be allowed to walk. Dress for the weather and protect yourself from the elements. Choose appropriate footwear for trail conditions. Use repellent to protect yourself from ticks, which are active year-round.

- Restroom available, no water. Bring tissue in a plastic bag in the event of a bio break need.
- If your plans change, kindly cancel your booking at least 24 hours in advance of walk start time so other walkers may join.
